Maintenance Services & Descriptions

To clean up loose debris on lawn and beds and lightly spot rake any matted grass areas. Based on a reasonable amount of seasonal debris and damage being present. Should there be additional debris and damage beyond normal conditions (extra snow removal damage, weather related issues) it will be quoted as an additional cost. Spring clean-up does not include weeding, edging or mulching of beds. We highly recommend this is included in your contract to avoid delays for our mowing crews in the spring.

Removal of leaves and branches from lawn and bed areas by means of mowing, the use of blowers and hand raking as well as additional mowing depending on seasonal growth conditions. This includes one visit to complete the work as required.

Grass areas will be cut shorter in the fall in preparation for winter. This is to prevent unnecessary raking of the lawn in the spring which would damage the new shoots, weaken the new growth and may also increase the incidence of turf diseases. Shorter grass for the fall also helps prevent fungal or mold growth during the winter.

Should you not have the fall clean-up of lawn areas as an option in your program, the mowing season would end around mid-October. Cutting back of perennials and removal of annuals would be completed under the gardening service option if selected. We highly recommend that you include a fall clean-up as a final visit to prepare the site for winter and ready your turf for the next season.

Supply and install black bark mulch in beds as required to give a fresh appearance.

Should the bark mulch be too thick (over 3″) and some need to be removed before the new mulch is installed we can quote this work as an additional charge. Having excess mulch can be detrimental for plant health.

Our lawn maintenance service includes mowing, trimming and bagging. When you subscribe to a lawn maintenance program our service is ongoing and is performed as required throughout the season. Frequency of visits vary depending on time of year and weather conditions.
